We were delighted to hear that Peter Elliott AM has been awarded the Australian Institute of Architects’ 2017 Gold medal.

This award is the highest given by the Institute and recognises distinguished service by architects who have designed or executed buildings of high merit, produced work of great distinction resulting in the advancement of architecture or endowed the profession of architecture in a distinguished manner.

Peter is one of TCL's most valued friends and collaborators. Together, over a twenty year period, we have enjoyed designing projects including North Terrace, Adelaide, Monash University, Auckland Waterfront, the Rocks Sydney and more recently, Parliament House Accommodation in Melbourne.

Peter is not only an accomplished architect, at the top of his game, he also designs beautiful public spaces. The sequence of urban spaces at RMIT, delivered over many years, and captured in his book, Episodic Urbanism, demonstrates his nuanced understanding of site, a deft touch and a masterfully approach to stitching disparate urban spaces into a cohesive and memorable whole.

Congratulations Peter.
